Harghita County Development Agency, in the framework of the EU project "CAPfuture - Information actions for healthy and quality food", organized 3 information forums in 3 different regions of Harghita County.
The CAP Caravan was organized in Feliceni, Miercurea Ciuc and Gheorgheni, Harghita County.
The thematic of the events were: How can the EU common agricultural policy stimulate the county's agriculture?
The quality of our events was raised by the encouraging words of President Csaba Borboly and Vice President Botond Barna Bíró, who encouraged the farmers and producers of Harghita County, emphasizing the importance of their sacrificial work for the county.
The President of the Harghita County Council, Csaba Borboly, stressed the importance of eating healthy food nowadays. He encouraged farmers and producers to approach the County Council, as they will try to help in every possible way. Be it sales, tendering, marketing, tendering and legal advice etc.
Csaba Bakó, representative of the Rural Investment Financing Agency, presented the remaining tendering opportunities and those for which applications can be made in 2022.
In his presentation, Kálmán Fancsali, Tender Consultant, stressed that there are two programmes to choose from. One is the Rural Development Programme and the other is the PNRR - National Recovery Plan Programme. There are a number of grant opportunities for farmers and businesses.
Representatives from the Agricultural Intervention and Payment Agency presented the APIA support opportunities, highlighting the importance of farmers planning for the year, both administratively and managerial.
Mária-Magdolna Sándor, a lawyer, explained what types of businesses can be set up, how to apply for a producer's license and the steps for setting up cooperatives and associations.
Péter Varga, a Common Agricultural Policy expert, explained in detail the structure of the Common Agricultural Policy. He highlighted the importance of the Biodiversity and Farm to Fork Strategies, and then stressed the main messages and objectives of the project. He stressed the importance of the strategies to reduce the use of pesticides by the farmer and to retain as much of the income from his product as possible.
Gheorghe Hîrlav, senior adviser to the National Agency for Mountain Areas, presented the Mountain Product Mark, how to apply for it and who can get it. He also spoke about the possibility of creating Gastronomic Points.
Árpád Cilip, Director of the Development Agency of Harghita County, briefly presented the situation of the Szekler Product trademark family, and also spoke about the newly developed methodology, which will largely determine the future of the Szekler product.
The Development Agency of Harghita County, in partnership with the Association of Szekler Farmers' Organizations and the Rural Development Association, will continue to stand by farmers and producers and will try to help them in every possible way.
