Four pieces of improved grassland, with a total surface of 1.49 ha are waiting for investors in Carta.

The pieces of improved land are located at different, strategically important points of the village. After a council decision, the local authority would be ready to sign a long-term lease contract with serious investors. They can be used both for touristic and industrial purposes.

Surface of each piece of land: S1 = 2300 m2, S2 = 3000 m2, S3 = 3700 m2, S4 = 5900 m2.

The local authority emphasizes, beside the importance of long-term infrastructural investments, the development of tourism as well, which would result in alternative income sources for the residents of the region. From this point of view, there are priority issues, such as increasing the accommodation possibilities, making an inventory of the touristic, cultural, historical and other attractions in the region, and establishing an office for giving information and organising events.

Development plan…

The development plan related to Baile Madicsa and the plan of establishing a sport centre next to the ice ring in the village (tennis courts, service facilities) are meant to serve these goals.

Carta is located on the eastern part of Transylvania, in the Upper Ciuc basin enclosed by the mountain ranges of Ciuc and Harghita, at an approximately 720 m altitude. It lies along County road 125 (parallel with the European road E578) at a 23 km distance from Miercurea Ciuc to north, and 31 km from Gheorgheni to south. It can be accessed from the eastern part of Danesti coming from Miercurea Ciuc, making a turn at the railway gate.

There are no written documents on the foundation of the village but it can be dated back to the end of the 12th century - the beginning of the 13th century, based on the existing knowledge on the Szekely settlements in the Ciuc basin.

Taking into account the rapid and spectacular development of the village, one can say that investing in these facilities and thus, the increase of tourism would be in the benefit of the village and its inhabitants, as well as in the benefit of the investors and SMEs.

Establishments created for entertaining visitors are an important key towards economic development, just as food service units and the organization of local events, competitions, etc.

The mayor’s office of Carta tries to help the population and the potential investors in reaching this common goal.
